I am an innovative leader in instructional design with a Master of Science in Instructional Design and a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design. Since November 2021, I have been serving as the Director of Distance Education & Instructional Design at Morehead State University. In this role, I supervise a team that includes the Blackboard system administrator and an instructional designer. My responsibilities include evaluating and acquiring the latest educational technology, leading AI-related initiatives, and ensuring the effective integration of emerging instructional technologies. Currently, my team and I are focused on implementing and regulating AI in higher education, working on multiple AI-related projects at Morehead State University. I also represent the university in the Kentucky Distance Learning Group (KYDL) and coordinate NC-SARA and Quality Matters (QM) initiatives.Prior to this role, I served as the Senior Instructional Designer at Morehead State University from 2017 to 2021. During this time, I played a key role in helping the university transition to fully online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. I collaborated with faculty and administration to develop a cloud-based resource site and organized workshops that supported over 5,000 students and 400 faculty members. I also developed Quality Matters-aligned course templates that have been adopted by over 60 Blackboard instructors, demonstrating my commitment to delivering high-quality, accessible education.Before becoming a senior instructional designer, I began my career at Morehead State as an Instructional Technologist. In that role, I developed technical training programs, created instructional materials, and provided technical expertise for various educational technologies. This experience laid the foundation for my continued focus on educational innovation and faculty development.
