My PhD work was devoted to the physicochemical characterization and structure-properties relationship of final thermoplastic films obtained by radical photopolymerization. The main goal of these synthesized films was to protect silicon cells present in the photovoltaic panels against the environmental parameters.This thesis contributed to a larger project run by a national consortium called “ISOCEL” (Innovative SOlar CELls) with 7 industrial partners, 3 technical centres, 1 technologic platform and 9 academic laboratories. I acquired excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to ensure that the project could run smoothly between the different stakeholders.The ISOCEL project was supported by the French State and selected by the Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME) in order to form a competitive industrial sector for the fabrication of a new generation of photovoltaic modules.

My 6-month placement enabled me to use and understand the different characterization techniques to then complete my PhD in the best conditions. Working within an international team allowed me to acquire excellent interpersonal and languages skills.
