E-2/C-2 Support Equipment Chief Engineer

Lakehurst, New Jersey, United States

Oversee the technical direction of all aspects of the engineering lifecycle for Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) in support of the C-2A, E-2C, and E-2D platforms. I serve as the lead for the design, development, acquisition, integration, testing, evaluation, fielding, and configuration management of avionics, non-avionics, and propulsion Support Equipment (SE). I serve as the primary point of contact to the PMA and contractor for all SE requirements from a technical perspective. I directly interface with NAWCAD headquarters and other government activities involved in the SE program to present schedule, cost, and technical information. I use the Systems Engineering Process to review new PSE requirements to develop and implement efforts to increase reliability, maintainability, and fleet readiness, while reducing overall life-cycle costs. I investigate cost-saving solutions for the development of PSE, including the use of NAVAIR in-house design groups and modifications to existing equipment. I serve as the chair of SETR events for all new and redesigned PSE and manage acquisition milestones throughout the life-cycle to assess technical maturity and risk. I regularly brief the status of the PMA-231 engineering program to all levels of personnel within the organization.

I integrated technical inputs of multiple engineering disciplines into Support Equipment design, and served as the primary point of contact for all SE requirements from a technical perspective. I directly interfaced with NAWCAD headquarters and other government activities involved in the SE program to present schedule, cost, and technical information. I worked directly with the CH-53K prime contractor to define the SE requirements for the platform and review all documentation for technical validity. I investigated the use of Common Support Equipment (CSE) solutions in place of peculiar solutions identified by the contractor in an effort to maximize the use of available resources in Navy inventory, reduce system costs, and minimize the SE footprint. I used the Systems Engineering Process to review new Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) requirements to develop and implement efforts to increase reliability, maintainability, and fleet readiness, while reducing overall life-cycle costs.
