“FlyTheWorld” is Xavier Rosset’s next expedition.In July 2017, the Swiss adventurer will depart on board an ultralight, his sights set on the exploration of our planet.Across 5 continents and 50 countries, covering 80,000 kilometres in 400 days, the team aims to draw attention to a different and positive aspect of our blue planet. Thanks to its performance in the air, the ultralight offers easy access to places that would otherwise prove tricky to reach by land.This will enable Xavier to immerse himself in varied and often isolated cultures, to explore values and lifestyles that stand apart from the world as we know it. The adventurer will also use the expedition to showcase geological wonders that remain unknown to many.Xavier’s wish to share this adventure has brought about its evolution to the point where it has become interactive.Web users will practically be able to follow the expedition live and interact via a number of means. A weekly video, as well as Traker data, will allow anybody to immerse themselves in our planet’s best kept secrets. All from the comfort of their own living room. Un Regard sur le Monde (A glance on the World) is a simple company established in 2008 by Xavier Rosset.Using images, it aims to document the worldwide adventures and expeditions of Xavier.Why produce documentaries and hold conferences? Quite simply to share beautiful images, powerful emotions and to enable this wonderful energy which allows us to fulfil our dreams to reach far and wide.The current conferences delve into the 300 days Xavier spent on an island half a world away. He describes the day-to-day life of his adventure with countless anecdotes and his characteristic sense of humour. He has brought together his thoughts, feelings, concerns, anecdotes and delights in a conference which he presents for corporate events, in public places or during both public and private evening events.This presentation also aims to underline the importance of following your own path and fulfilling your life’s dream. En In September 2008, Xavier undertook the extraordinary feat of living alone for 300 days on an uninhabited island in the South Pacific, his only survival tools being a Swiss army knife and a machete.Over the course of this incredible adventure, which was portrayed in an internationally distributed documentary, Xavier would have to push his limits beyond anything he could have imagined.Finding his food, dealing with solitude, building a hut, enduring a tropical cyclone and treating infections were to be some of the challenges that awaited him, all without the option of relying on others.Alone on an uninhabited island, lost in a tropical forest, on the flanks of an active volcano, for 300 days he experienced the greatest thing the world has to offer: FREEDOMFollowing his return in June 2009, he picked up where he left off, readapting to life on society’s terms. He now shares his adventure at numerous conferences around Europe.
