Project Geologist
Current1. Work safely at Company project sites or third-party projects under assessment or review2. Actively contribute to safety initiatives, toolbox meetings and reviews of existing safety procedures.3. Soil, rock chip and costean/trench sampling, spectral measurements (ASD), regolith mapping, compilation and interpretation of historic and new geochemical and geological data4. Assessment of quality assurance and quality control for geochemical data sets5. Assist with the maintenance and improvement of the Company database architecture6. Geological and structural mapping, drill chip and drill core logging, geotechnical logging, geological compilation at regional and local scales and map making7. Supervising and training of junior/graduate geologists and field technicians on an as-needs basis.8. Rigs, details, drill core mark-up and orientation, core cutting, drill program design, drill mark out, submission of permits of work for clearing9. Exploration data plotting and interpretation using graphic information systems (GIS) and other specialized mining software,10. Developing 3D geological models of target areas using Leapfrog/Micromine software packages11. Drafting of diagrams, maps and figures for internal or external use by the Company12. Report writing for internal and external use, including statutory annual reporting to Mines Departments13. Geological research of mineral deposit systems14. You will be expected to contribute to general field camp tasks including cooking, cleaning and camp maintenance15. Field vehicle operation, maintenance and auditing16. Travel to and from exploration sites17. Other geologist duties
