Taekwondo Instructor | Kyorugi Head Coach
CurrentAs a dedicated Taekwondo Instructor at Power Sport Taekwondo, I've had the privilege of shaping the lives of students for nearly a decade. My role has been both rewarding and transformative, and these are the highlights of my journey:Educational Impact: I've had the opportunity to conduct Taekwondo classes in various schools, instilling discipline, respect, and a sense of purpose in students as young as 5 years old, up to young adults. This experience has allowed me to witness personal growth and development on a daily basis.Leadership and Coaching: As the Head Coach for the Sparring Team, I've been responsible for not only honing the skills of my athletes but also nurturing their sportsmanship and teamwork. During my tenure, I oversaw an extraordinary expansion of the Sparring Team, growing it from 8 players to an impressive 60 players in just three years.Championship Success: The crowning achievement of our hard work and dedication has been the consistent success of the Sparring Team. We've triumphed in international, national, and state championships, proving that perseverance and teamwork truly pay off.Effective Teaching Strategies: To enhance our training programs, I implemented a strategy that segregates the Sparring Team into "first liners" (senior) and "second liners" (junior) players. This approach not only maximizes individual and team performance but also promotes a culture of mentorship and growth.Building Relationships: Building strong relationships with both students and their parents has been a cornerstone of my role. By establishing trust and confidence, I've created a supportive and encouraging environment that allows students to thrive not only as athletes but as well-rounded individuals.
