As the Director of Academic Programs and Student Services at English Empowerment Center, I oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of high-quality and learner-centered English language and literacy programs for adult immigrants and refugees in the US. With over 10 years of experience in the field of adult education, I am passionate about advancing community-based initiatives that empower multilingual learners to achieve their personal, academic, and professional goals.I have a Master of Arts in TESOL from the School for International Training, where I developed a strong foundation in teaching methodology, curriculum development, assessment, and intercultural communication. I am committed to fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration among my staff, volunteers, and partners, and I actively engage with professional networks and resources to keep abreast of the latest trends and effective practices in the field. I am honored to have received several awards and recognitions for my leadership and service, including the White House Cesar E. Chavez Champion of Change in 2014.
