I have been with HelmsBriscoe in the Columbus, Ohio market since August of 2001. I work with a wide variety of association, corporate, government and not-for profit organizations throughout the U.S. I joined HelmsBriscoe due to the company’s reputation for excellent service and ethical conduct in the meetings industry. “The freedom to provide our client’s exceptional service and solutions, regardless of their site selection requirements makes it a true pleasure to start work each day. “We never have to tell our clients no!” As Regional Vice President in the Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee region, I am responsible for associate recruitment, mentorship and development. My responsibilities are to find and recruit the best possible associates available in our area and to assist them in providing their clients with the best possible service possible.I have worked in the meetings industry since 1986 for the following companies; Stouffer-Renaissance, Wyndham and Marriott. I earned my Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation in 2002 and my Certified Association Sales Executive (CASE) designation in 2009. I currently serve as regional technology trainer, insuring that each HB associate in my region utilizes every tool HB has to offer to gain an advantage for their clients. I am also active in the Ohio Chapter of MPI, having served in the following positions; VP of Finance, Director of Technology, Director of Education and as the Chapter’s President. I was awarded the Planner of Year Award from OHMPI in 2003 and the MODOC Award from the American Association of Service Coordinators for my work in assisting AASC through a meeting crisis, also in 2003.
