Hired on to help architect and develop custom applications for large and small clients. Always staying on top of the latest technologies, our team developed high-end, custom applications for enterprise clients who needed scalable solutions for large projects.

Rising to the challenge, I was hired to be part of a 6 man team to migrate an aging VB6 POS application utilizing Access databases to a completely reworked version using .NET. The solution compromised of a hybrid WinForm/web-based solution that would access a central SQL 2005 database. Leading the web team, I was in charge of architecture and most of the data and business logic programming.

Brought on as a contractor to help with the ever expanding work load, within a month I was hired on as a full-time senior developer. My knowledge of .Net (both VB.Net and C#) and SQL made me a valuable asset to opus very early on. With my skills and know how, I had managed to secure myself as lead developer for one of their biggest clients, Hollywood Video, within my first 6 months of employment. As lead for Hollywood, my job was to scope & quote all new projects, oversee programming efforts, and partake in most of the complex programming and database development. One of the most challenging projects I was involved with was gift card reload. From start to finish, I was able to develop a .Net component (utilizing the ISO-8583 standard and TCP/IP protocol) that added value to gift cards in real-time through Stored Value Systems (SVS), their gift card fulfillment vendor.

Originally brought on as a web developer, I assumed the role of software engineer within the first 6 months of employment. Leading to this change, was my uncanny ability to pick-up new languages and technologies. While lending my expertise to such clients as Honda & Acura, I excelled in bringing about solutions to some of the toughest problems we faced. Whether it was cross-platform interfacing or integrating functionality of the .NET standard, nothing stood in my way.
