“Everything must be made as simple as possible. But not simpler.”My name is Xetiel and I am a Masters-qualified Energy Engineer. Here I present to you a glimpse of my professional life.Firstly, in 2018, I was awarded with the Asociación Nacional de Facultades y Escuelas de Ingeniería (ANFEI) diploma for academic excellence as the best national graduate in Chemical Engineering. Next, I worked at Centro Nacional de Control del Gas Natural (CENAGAS) where I performed technical analysis in Natural Gas Transport and Storage projects. At CENAGAS I developed my thermodynamics, planning and project management skills, but also my professional and soft skills. The main output of my work there was the Federal Publication “Plan Quinquenal de Expansión del Sistema de Transporte y Almacenamiento Nacional Integrado de Gas Natural”.Then in 2020, I was awarded with the Industrial Consortium to Foster Applied Research and Technological Development in Mexico Scholarship from Tecnologico de Monterrey. In the Consortium with Tec de Monterrey and Tenova HYL I worked in the Research and Development department, specifically in the Hydrogen Direct Reduction project. This technology is the avant garde to reduce Carbon Dioxide emissions in the Ironmaking and Steelmaking industry. I discovered that Hydrogen can lead to 100% CO2 emissions reduction in the ironmaking process, as long as the hydrogen comes from water electrolysis. As previously mentioned, I am interested in energy intensive industries and energy companies. The nexus between energy, society and business is what drives my profession. I think that cost effective energy is as important as raw materials for productivity and competition; and there it is my opportunity to help you. I want to help people to develop strategies and perform analysis of their energy used in their business and moreover to plan an energy transition to reduce CO2 emissions.I use and apply science and research to everyday problems and situations to make informed decisions. My strength is competition, because we live in a globalized economy where we as a team are looking for excellence and professionalism.Outside the office you can find me playing symphonic music with my double bass, in my photography studio, taking a ride with my bike, live streaming my gameplays or at my welding workshop.
