The mission of the Cleantech Open is to find, fund, and foster the big ideas that address today’s most urgent energy, environmental, and economic challenges.The Cleantech Open has established itself as the leader in developing clean technology startup entrepreneurs addressing these challenges. Since its inception in 2006, 191 promising teams have availed themselves of the Cleantech Open’s one-of-a-kind hands-on workforce development, nurturing, and funding programs, with impressive results: * Cleantech Open Alumni have raised over $160M in private capital, * 80% remain economically viable today, and * 1,200 new clean technology jobs have been created through the end of 2009.

Project: Top Bond Pad (TBP) Flow Optimization- Indentified and analyzed data needed in the optimization- Developed a ProModel simulation tool for the Top Bond Pad factory flow optimization which allows for ease of operation and flexible parameter input to accommodate the dynamic feature of the R&D process- Conducted detailed time study and identified quality improvement and time saving opportunities

- Supplier Scorecard project: defined the needs and scope of the project, proposed evaluation criteria, coordinated across functions to facilitate smooth implementation of the system, successfully introduced the scorecard system (a key component of ISO certification requirements) for Pentair Flow Technologies- Strategically sourced alternative or new suppliers for more than 500 parts

- Analyzed islet cell production process with Arena simulation software- Prepared bill of materials and standard operating procedures

Project: Production and Inventory Control for the “W" Assemble-to-Order System- Formulated mathematical models for the optimal production and inventory control problem- Generated simulation and described the optimal replenishment and allocation policy
