About Xi Jun Ma

I joined IBM in 2001 right after I got my Master degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. I started my career with IBM China Research Lab as a Researcher on Text-to-Speech System and won IBM Research division award for significant technical contribution to speech technology. In 2006, I progressed my career in IBM China Development Lab as IT Architect and Managing Consultant to lead several important client projects; later I became development manager and senior manager to lead a team to develop advanced Industry and Cloud solutions to drive new market opportunities. Since 2012, I joined IBM CIO Office to manage Global Mobile Program and lead GCG Enterprise Transformation & IT. In 2018, I took a job rotation as Executive Assistant to IBM GCG Chairman; after the assignment, I was appointed GCG CIO to lead IT teams to support GCG business strategy, transformation and IT operation.
