Xia’s spiritual journey began at a young age on her Grandma’s farm in Georgia along with training to be a Southern Baptist missionary. Her thirst for spiritual knowledge continued for years studying numerous religious traditions before finally moving full circle into an Earth-based spiritual tradition. Her decades of studying global religions laid the groundwork for her interfaith work of helping others find the commonalities in all traditions while respecting one another’s differences.Xia is a writer, producer, mythologist, ritual artist, and community leader. She is the founder and director of two nonprofits, Temple of the Goddess, a federally-recognized Pagan church, and Nine Muses Arts, an organization advocating for artists—both businesses located in Los Angeles, California. Xia’s work, as a literary artist, is to find new and innovative ways to present the feminine ideology to the public, focusing on unearthing women's cross-cultural myths, often retelling them in a modern context. She has written them as plays, articles, short stories, poetry, and re-creating women's ancient rites of passage. In 2022, Xia contributed the chapter, “Feminine Alchemy: Ritual, Myth and Archetype” in the book Feminine Reformation: The Magic and Science of the Goddess, Anthology Textbook Volume Two, edited by Dr. Jayne DeMente of the Women’s Heritage Project. Xia has written numerous mythological and ritual works focused on archetypal studies of the Goddess including Rites of Passage: A Goddess Ritual for Women, which aired on The Learning Channel–showing Pagan rites for Maiden, Mother, and Crone which she also produced and facilitated. Temple of the Goddess offers multi-cultural celebrations for families and community combining ritual, myth, and art woven together to re-connect us to the seasons and the Earth in Pasadena, CA. These cross-quarter events, religious and spiritual observances, are presented as ritual theatre blending music, dance, liturgy, spoken word, visual art, and participatory theater. Xia has written, directed, and produced more than forty productions including original one-act myths presented by the temple’s Mythic Players. For more than three decades Xia has walked the path of the divine feminine, committed to her role as an inter-faith ambassador for the Pagan Community. She continues to be a voice and an advocate for the Earth, the Goddess, Temple of the Goddess, and the Pagan community.
