For nearly 40 years, I specialized in the reproduction and restoration of ancient Chinese paintings at the Forbidden City of Beijing, China. My work has earned praises from top art scholars including the Last Emperor's brother, Pu Jie.I was first recognized in 1985 after spending ten years creating the first complete collection, featuring 413 scenes from the Chinese classic novel, Dream of the Red Chamber. This collection was featured at the Grand View Garden in Beijing for 20 years (1985-2005) before it was sold to The National Studies Museum in Qingdao, China. In 2010, I began working on the most artistically and technically challenging collection of my career - Chinese Empresses. This collection features over 200 empresses from Chinese history. I spent two decades researching the stories of these incredible women leaders, and how they have dramatically impacted and shaped Chinese history. The collection is near completion as of 2024. My team and I have been exhibiting a portion of the empress paintings in museums and galleries in Massachusetts including Harvard Museums, Worcester Art Museum, JMAC, as well as the Asian Festival in Central Mass, ValleyCAST, and soon at the New England Botanical Garden at Tower Hill (summer of 2025/26).
