Xiaofei Wang is from Tongji University, major in Urban Planning. She is an architect and urban planner with extensive project experience and several international professional certifications, including National Registered Urban Planner in China, International Certified Passive House Designer (PHI, Germany), International Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM, US), Fund Manager, and Project Management Professional (PMP, US). She has collaborated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences on several Chinese Natural Science Foundation projects, participated in compiling two national standards, translated two influential books, published several papers in mainstream journals, and holds three patents. Her main research interests are in low carbon sustainable development and smart cities. She initiated a professional committee under the Chinese Society for Urban Studies(Non-Profit Organization) to advocate for a response to the growing global climate change, promote research and practice on low carbon sustainable development of cities and buildings.
