He has been working, teaching and doing research in Peking University Third Hospital for more than 2 decades.He also works as consultant & senior surgeon in Beijing Unitedfamily HospitalDr. Ling’s specialty is general sugery, minimal invasive surgery and biliary surgery, including:(1) Biliary tract surgery, cholecystolithiasis, choledocholithiasis, polypoid lesion of gallbladder, congenital choledochol cyst, benign and malignant of biliary tract tumor and hepatolithiasis,(2) Benign and malignant diseases of thyroid and breast. Such as nodular goitor, adenoma, cancer, hyperthyroidism. Breast hyperplasia, adenoma and cancer. (3) Acute abdomen: acute appendicitis, cholecystitis, cholangitis, intestinal obstruction, GI perforation and bleeding, abdominal pain to be determined. (4) Liver, pancreas and GI tract tumor and inflamatory lesions(5) Hernia and superficial mass and soft tissue infection, carbuncle, furuncle, whitlow….Dr. Ling is good at minimal invasive surgery. He can perform many laparoscopic operations to deal with the diseases above: choledochojejunostomy; congenital choledochol cyst resection and Roux-en-Ycholedochojejunostomy; Mirizzi Syndrom; radical cholecystectomy for gallbladder cancer; Oddi sphincter-preserving hilar cholangioplasty with hepatico-subcutaneous stoma( for hepatolithiasis);Partial hepatectomy, (Left lateral lobe, segment IV, V, VI resection), open & drainage for hepatic cyst & abscess;Total extraperitoneal repairing (TEP) for hernia; Acute abdomen exploration...etc.Dr. Ling is also the PI of many research programs. He has published many articles on international journals, such as :British Journal of Surgery, Surgical Endoscopy, Gastroenterology
