I am a part of a multi-university research initiative that aims to use mucin to engineer the gut microbiome in hopes of mitigating PTSD symptoms. My portion of the project involves computational analysis, anaerobe cultures, metabolomics analysis, and more. I developed a protocol for measuring B. thetaiotaomicron growth in the presence of mucin, and conducted metabolomics analysis of anaerobic bacteria growth samples through both targeted and untargeted LC-MS to validate my flux balance analysis through a genomic scale model for B. thetaiotaomicron.

I aided the research in microbial flavanoid metabolism. My work consisted of laboratory preparation and analysis, computational analysis, data visualization, and literature research. Our paper regarding out findings on the metabolic pathway of tilianin through promiscuous enzyme activities just got accepted to eLife.

I was part of two contracted projects, one of which called for an interactive map of all companies in Rwanda involved in the energy sector. I was involved in both the data research and the interactive map compilation. The other project involved composing an extensive report of the top 500 green energy leaders in the world, and it was shared at the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference.
