WangPerceptual Models of Preference in 3D Printing Direction (12/2014-06/2015)- Trained a perceptual model using feedforward neural network to learn human preferable appearance of 3D printed models, optimized the printing orientation to improve the printing quality for the first time in the literature.Data-Driven Deformation Design for 3D Printed Objects (11/2015-04/2016)- Trained recurrent neural networks to learn the relationships between deformation behaviors and 3D geometry.- Developed an interactive design framework to achieve the desired deformation behaviors of 3D printed models.RGB-D Sensors Based Shape Modeling for Human Bodies (10/2012-06/2013)-3D reconstructed human body models from incomplete data captured by two RGB-D sensors. Investigated a point cloud registration algorithm to fit volumetric meshes onto sparse point clouds with noise and missing data.

3D Reconstruction Using Structured Light (01/2010-06/2012)- Calibrated projector-and-camera reconstruction system using a LCD panel.- 3D reconstructed system with high accuracy (0.1mm) by projecting 9 patterns generated by strip-edge based structured light coding strategy.- Designed a single pseudo-random structured light pattern to achieve fast 3D reconstruction.Vision-based Human-Computer Interactive System (01/2010-06/2012)- Projected computer screen to a planar surface, emitted infrared light parallel to the surface, and then detect touch and generate response with a camera. The system featured with infrared light is fast-response and low-interference.
