1. Led a team and successfully developed several machine vision solutions for manufacturers of both large and small-medium sized ones, ranging from whole automobile body to nail-sized electrical parts. The machine vision solutions are robustly running on clients' production lines now and have saved a lot human labor as well as enabled clients to embrace opportunities in era of Industry 4.0.2. Responsible for architecting the machine vision systems as well as researching and developing the core image processing algorithms. Led team in developing a series of advanced robot bin-picking algorithms for Ricoh's newly innovated 3D vision products, targeting wide-range types of objects, e.g. fried chickens, various shaped metal and plastic parts; Used technologies of image processing, point cloud computing, robotics etc. The algorithms are used in Ricoh's solutions for automotive and other industries.4. Developed a variety of image processing methods for Ricoh's special photonic products for Factory Automation purpose, including Panoramic Camera, Stereo Camera, Polarization Camera, Multi-spectral Camera, and Compact Scanner for applications including surveillance, auto driving, traffic measuring, bulking object size measuring, transparent object detection, food freshness/deterioration detection, and high-gloss surface quality inspection. The work greatly helped expand Chinese market.
