I am Xia Ying. I do write, interview, edit, filmmaking, and photography. I studied in University of the Arts London in 2021-2022, I was initially offered an MA Art and Lifestyle Journalism, and then I have transferred to my degree in MA Film and my specialism is producer. I am also a UK Albert Sustainable Production Certificate holder.Before the UK, I worked for a communication-rooted sustainable fashion creative agency in Shanghai for 3 years as the founding member. I am engaged to organise and curate a number of Open Forum partnerships with Kering group, and Shanghai Fashion Week, as well as conceive sustainable-oriented strategy to the clients that commit to future-proofing cultural transformation, widely networking with NGO, galleries, corporations, fashion brands and artists worldwide. During that time, I was also a contributing journalist to Modern Weekly and Rayli Magazine to create pieces encompassing the field of lifestyle, design, music, art and youth culture.The projects that I led include 1st edition of Green Series ‘Green Women Power 100’ by LOHAS magazine published by Meta Media China (Shanghai, 2021); and Mirth magazine, a platform bringing social media, on-set events, and in-print cultural publications for up-and-coming creatives across Europe (London, 2022-now). I collaborated with Canal Dream CIC in the Art Film section focusing on presenting an emerging art (London, 2023), as well as collaborated with Jingzhong Art Bookshop for programming the artist talk (Changsha, 2024).I am now a contributing editor at Bazaar Art Park magazine by managing the art cinema column.
