I worked on vertical product features and horizontal infrastructure. • On product side, I managed the engineering team which owns LinkedIn China Profile and Notification from front-end(Android, iOS) to backend. My team doubled the Profile core metrics in a quarter after the team was formed.Projects we launched include:- Redesigned Me Portal Page;- Member Reward Feature;- New Profile Editing Flows;- Redesigned Notification Page.• On infrastructure side, I was the PoC of LinkedIn China Backend which covers all mid-tier and backend services powering LinkedIn China app.My responsibilities include:- On-boarding new backend engineers;- Architecture/Data-model design and review;- Site up (deployment, performance and reliability).

I had the fortune to join LinkedIn China Landing team and worked with a group of talented and passionate people that have strong ownership and excellent execution. I worked as a full stack engineer from frontend(iOS) to API to backend on LinkedIn China related projects including:- A new LinkedIn flagship app that targets China market (launched in Dec 2015)- Localized features and infrastructure- Partnerships on growth and brandingI had the opportunity to manage the entire release process of our new China flagship app including:• Report daily status updates to executive team.• Manage project timeline and progress of each platform (iOS/Android/Backend).• Build a local QA team from interviewing, recruiting to on-boarding.• Collaborate with different functional teams e.g. Marketing, Public Relations, Business Development and others.• Monitor post-launch business and operational metrics.

Shortly after I joined LinkedIn, I had the opportunity to participate LinkedIn Sharing System re-design. I was fortunate to take more responsibilities on the project and became a tech lead in an early stage of my career.I mentored two engineers and led the team to design, build and migrate the new sharing system.Projects:• New Share system design, implementation and migration• Social Actions(like/comment/share/read) counter service• New Rich Media onsite/email/mobile notification• Sharing articles recommendation systemTechnologies: • Scala on Play Framework.• Hadoop, Pig, MapReduce jobs. • Memcache, Voldemort• Data bridge - Linkedin Kafka. • Restli APIs for all downstream services.

• Added Java Object type support for the C++ Data Transformation Machine, Parser and Lexer• Designed and implemented 15 methods to manipulate the Java Object/Class in C++ base on JNI framework• Exposed to Big Data environment and distributed system techniques such as Hadoop and Hive• Used Perforce, Maven, and ReviewBoard as tools for Agile Software Development
