Starting 2017, the ISPOR West China Chapter has refined the management structure. The Chapter now consists of four main theme areas - including Real World Evidence, Pharmacoeconomics, Drug Policy, and Rational Drug Use - each of which is led by an area director (Professors Xin Sun, Ming Hu, Lingli Zhang, and Ting Xu). The area directors will be responsible for the development of the area of their supervision and interest. Members of the ISPOR WCC are invited to join one or more of the areas. Hopefully, the refined management structure will further promote the production and use of Pharmacoeconomic and outcomes research evidence to inform policy decisions on drugs and other medical products.

Built upon the Unit, we have developed a multidisciplinary research group, named Clinical Research, Evaluation, And Translation (CREAT). The CREAT Group is featured with two main-stream research themes: clinical evaluation of drugs and medical technologies devices; and disease management (in particular, reproductive health and prenatal care). The Group has developed a comprehensive set of methodological expertise - including classical clinical trials, real world data/big data studies, and evidence synthesis - to support the themed research. The Group is championing the use of real world data to inform healthcare practice and policy in China.
