I lead the marketing team at StoreHub, the all-in-one platform for successful retail and F&B businesses currently powering 15,000+ SMEs in Southeast Asia. Responsible for leading and building a full-funnel, T-shaped marketing team that oversees the entire customer journey and manage all key marketing functions within the company including growth marketing, performance marketing, content marketing, marketing tech creatives and all brand channels.

I work with my partner to help digitize traditional businesses by bringing them online and helping them reach their customers more efficiently.

Watch Over Me is a personal safety app that is focused on helping women get the help they need if they are ever attacked or assaulted on the street, and making crime and safety-related data transparent and relevant to women worldwide. The personal safety service we built served over 250,000 people from over 100 countries.The Watch Over Me team was acquihired by Carousell (www.carousell.com) and the project was be open sourced on Github for the development community.

I freelanced as a hired gun for companies / brands who wanted to reach out to more people via social media channels. During that time, I worked with brands from a variety of industries from F&B to web applications and political parties...* Developing & executing on social media conversation + marketing strategies according to predetermined goals.* Running paid and unpaid search engine marketing campaigns.* Training in house social media + community teams on how to reach out to young people in Malaysia online.* Adapting relevant products to be more social / engaging / community-building.

For almost 2 years, I worked alongside some 40 geniuses, marketers, visionaries and entrepreneurs from 17 different countries at MindValley. I managed MindValley’s largest online community, pioneered a social network for people passionate about personal growth, and managed the content ecosystem for their most active blog. I also dabbled in SEO, website optimization, and email marketing.• Managed an online blog community of 250,000 people.• Grew their Facebook fan base from 2,000 to 22,000+ fans.• 70% of the fan base engaged with the Facebook Page monthly. • Hosted 2 offline meet ups in Los Angeles & New York.• Increased site visits by 73% compared to the previous year

While in school I have ghostwrote & transcribed over articles on various topics on online marketing strategies and self-improvement subjects. I also designed quite a few sketchy-looking e-book covers, and indie band posters.In addition to offering design services for Internet marketers, I also designed several e-flyers for the local independent gig-organizing body, Project Bazooka.

During my 2007 summer break, I applied for (and successfully obtained) an internship with MindValley. I worked alongside a marketers and technologists from 5 different countries to help build and launch a web 2.0 blogranking system called SocialRank. During my time there, I identified and analyzed top blogs in various niches in the blogosphere, learned of the power of Internet marketing and the importance of surrounding yourself (and partying with) with brilliant individuals.

While waiting for University to start, I decided to spend 4 months selling music to strangers.
