My research strives to manufacture the next-generation coating material by combining the cutting edge experimental approaches and computer modeling. To precisely control and manipulate micro scale objects is a challenging yet intriguing research topic with numerous applications in coating, ink, meta-material fabrication, and biomedical diagnostic/therapeutic systems. Specifically, projects accomplished are:- 3D nanoelectromechanical devices for precision manipulation of nanomotors- Multiphase transport and patterning of particles: experiments and simulations- Bulk-synthesized and characterized different types of asymmetric particles with tunable functionality

- Assisted professor with classroom instruction and exams, led class discussions, mentored the tutoring sessions- Implemented professor's idea and designed simulation and lab experiments, prepared and guided students through experiments, instructed data analysis and report writing

Optimizing separation and purification of anthraquinones using extraction- Developed micro-emulsion extraction and bubble separation of chemicals based on the interfacial phenomena- Optimized the separation process by integrating micro-phase mass transfer process and partitioning behaviors
