Employed on-site at MassMutual Financial Group for multiple projects, first with MML Investors Services (the Broker Dealer) then with Retirement Services. Key contributor to all phases of the project lifecycle, from planning through implementation to training. Conducts one-on-one interviews, group meetings, and direct observations with multiple business units and partners with compliance and legal to understand/document all business processes and constraints. Facilitates Joint Application Requirements (JAR) sessions to gather business, data-related, and feed requirements, then maps Business Use Cases as well as file feeds to business requirements. Liaises with business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), solution architects, designers and developers to identify the "As-Is" processes and then defines the "To-Be" processes as well as the high level and detailed requirements. Creates functional/non-functional requirements (FR/NFR), Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Business Use Cases (UC), and Business Rules. Coordinates traceability matrix for requirements/business rules as well as requirements reviews sessions. Performs gap analysis on vendor capabilities, develops requirements for system integration across all vendor systems (Aplifi, StreetScape, AWD, Phoenix FUNDS, Security Master, etc.), and participates in vendor training for peers/clients. Supports testing team in verifying test strategy, test requirements, and test cases as well as business team in performing user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure business needs were met.

Developed a web-based solution system focused on automating entire supply chain process following the concept of real-time bidding within local restaurants. Coordinated daily status and weekly team meetings to accelerate development work following the Agile Development method. Partnered with a number of small business owners to understand their needs, concerns, and expectations then created product development plan to correctly target likely users. Effectively defined business/functional models that could significantly increase business scales of small and local firms.

Awarded the company’s only internship and selected to contribute to a high-profile, time-intense project for Xinhua News Agency creating the infrastructure to support a national speech and online, real-time Q&A with China’s Prime Minister. Participated in client meetings to understand infrastructure and integration needs. Analyzed network security policy, and assisted with writing architectural vision document. Liaised with HP and Dell for system configuration/setup and security specialist on new security strategy. Prepared training materials for client’s IT associates.
