About Xinyun Li

My background in landscape architecture and urban design such as residential community planning and design, public space environmental design matches your company’s specializations very well. Academically, prior to Master of Urban Design in UBC, I have achieved the Ph.D. of Landscape Architecture degree at Beijing Forestry University, my research is focused on the Chinese classic gardens. I also joined several famous landscape architecture projects in China. Additionally, I am also working as the overseas editor of World Landscape Magazine.I took part in a series of the international design competitions and won the IFLA's Asia-pacific student design competition first prize in 2011.During the master of urban design(MUD) program in UBC, I received the MUD entry scholarship and joined the design studio which cooperated with City of Surrey, I learn a lot about the sustainable urban design, especially for community planning and design in Metro Vancouver and Surrey region.Practically, I have been working as a full-time intern in landscape architecture department of AECOM Beijing Office for four months to gain the professional practice experience.I fully dived deep into bunch of projects from beginning to the end along with many other projects, both of which are the winners in the biding or competition; as well as leading to projects as chief designer to achieve the team goals. Has proficiency in English and fluency in Mandarin. An individual with strong work ethics, motivated, detail oriented, and reliable. Has an ability to demonstrate effective problem solving, professionally communicate with individuals, and dedicated to achieving organizational goals. Passionate about working with people and has many years of experience in leadership and community volunteer involvement. Proficient in Photoshop,Indesign, Illustrator, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Maximizer, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access).
