We focused on operational risks centered around Bribery and Corruption, Data protection, AML, Sanctions, Competition Law & Fraud.Additionally, acting as nominated Compliance Officer in front of the Comissariat Aux Assurances (CAA) of Luxembourg for Cargolux Re, the airline´s captive reinsurer, and tasked with the design, development and implemention of a Compliance Program for the captive and in line with applicable legislation in terms of AML & CTF.

Regional Compliance Officer with special focus on Operations in Africa.Responsible for the design, implementation and monitoring of the Compliance program of Cargolux in the 14 African countries where we operate. With an A to Z approach, the purpose of my role is supporting our sales and operations teams to navigate safely through applicable local, international and specialized regulations, identifying main Compliance risks and proposing mitigation measures aiming to reduce them. This is achieved through a deep understanding of the business and the construction of a strong trusted relationship.The tasks performed include, among others, execution of due diligence reports on third parties (vendors and customers), training, consultation desk, advisory functions, investigations, compliance audits, company policy controls, contract review and risk assessment together with proposal of risk mitigation measures.

Maputo And Inhambane (Mozambic)

Responsible for formulation, design and implementation of the “Integrated Community Health Program” in the province of Inhambane and funded by the Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation (ACCD ), a 3 year programme with a nearly 1,2M euros of budget. Coaching the national Red Cross society in technical and financial implementation of the program. Technical assistance in several areas such as budget management, planning, logical framework, optimization of resources, monitoring and evaluation.Identification and formulation of projects for the Red Cross in Mozambique in the areas of Community based Health, Disaster Preparedness and Response , Production- income generation, food security, HIV/AIDS and others. Support to the Emergency response during 2007 (Zambezi River Floods , Cyclone Favio), 2008 (Zambezi River Floods) in administrative, logistical, report and evaluation tasks.Institutional representation to donors and media, as well as writing and preparing financial and technical reports.
