Xavier Gonzalez is a Presidential Management Fellow with the National Institute of Mental Health’s Office of Management, serving as part of the Learning, Engagement, and Inclusion team. He received his Masters of Public Administration at the University of Pennsylvania's Fels Institute of Government in 2022 and his Bachelor's of Arts in Political Science from Christopher Newport University in 2020.Prior to NIMH, Xavier served with the Economic Development Administration's Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and conducted research with the US Helsinki Commission, weighing American foreign policy options in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Before these, he established his public service foundation through experiences in the nonprofit sector with the United Way of the Virginia Peninsula and Team Rubicon, as a state employee with the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation, and in campaign politics as a campaign manager.
