Principal Customer Application Engineer
Current1) Lead a multidisciplinary task force of engineers from all WiFi SW development teams to address and fix critical customer issues. 2) Work closely with system engineer’s, customers, providing them online and onsite technical support with root cause analysis.3) Optimize the configuration and parameters for the various deployments of our customers.4) Deep understanding of Parallel Wireless solution, feature behavior and the different parameters that tunes the behavior of our product.5) Work closely with product management, System engineers, feature architects and developers.6) Perform debugging (device & system), competitive analysis, and tests and recommend accordingly.7) Implement bug fixes and fix code issues.8) Release Manager, responsible for scheduling, planning, and controlling the software's development and delivery process.Details:- Cable gateway product software technical support (WiFi6, WiFi hal, hostapd, UEFI BIOS, C/C++, Linux, Yocto). Worked as the WiFi/BIOS/System engineer from Maxlinear to enable customers cable gateway products.- Communicate with customers, understand the issues reported from customers/end users, reproduce the issue on locally setup, debug the issue, discover the root cause of the issue. Provide the fix patch or submit Gerrits directly in customer code branch.- If issue is not able to reproduce locally, setup remote debug sessions with customers to remotely debug problematic platforms. Collect the statistical data (like logs) info and try to isolate the problem. Then provide a fix solution.- Obtain debug info and help back end engineer team to understand the issue and provide as much debug info as I can to co-work/co-debug the issue with back end engineer team.- Provide on-site support for customers faced WiFi issues, UEFI BIOS issues, as well as platform issues. Debug to find the root cause of issues and provide the solution to customers during on-site.
