Mission: Develop, Improve and Release internal desktop Linux-client. Solve interoperability issues with proprietary backends (Mainly Active Directory/Exchange/Lync). Streamline deployment and maintenance. Result:- Proprietary tools for Active Directory authentication replaced with Open Source sssd. Engaged with Open Source community to solve issues.- I developed new tools in C/C++ to replace older, costly and closed source logging tools.- Increased interoperability and work efficiency with a move from Thunderbird to Evolution. Hard core debugging and resolution of PKI-issues.- Project Manager for a team of five external open source developers spread over three continents in order to improve interoperability with Microsoft Lync, making everything Open Source Software in the process. In the team we added support for File Transfer, Desktop Screen Sharing, Conferencing and Lync Enterprise Voice among other things.- Architected and developed supporting backend infrastructure with container technology and Continuous Integration (Docker+Kubernetes+Ansible+Git).

Mission: Drive Ericsson Global India (EGI) to use as much Open Source Software as possible in order to drive costs down, and increase pace of innovation.Result: - EGI went from zero to accounting for 20% of Ericsson's Open Source-contributions globally.- Accumulated savings from project's start measured in 10 figures SEK.- We established an Open Source Center of Excellence in New Delhi (Noida) India, which today acts as one of Ericsson's important hubs for public open source contributions.- Implemented Business Intelligence tools for automated data retrieval in order for management to take better informed decisions.Worked directly as consultant under C-level management during the whole Change Management process, and as part of the CTO-team.
