Founding Mechanical Engineer
Current- Lead the mechanical design of an enterprise quadcopter from concept to production- CAD drone components to be manufactured by 3D printing, machining, or injection molding- Select components and materials for mechanical parts including arms, motors, propellers, fuselage- Integrate electronics such as NVIDIA Jetson, battery, GPS, barometer, compass, and fans into mechanical design- Conduct field tests of prototype and production drones to prepare for delivery to customers; analyze flight logs to optimize drone performance by tuning controller, implement sensor filters and wind speed estimation- Coordinate among suppliers, machine shops, and contractors to source reliable high-quality custom parts- Developed a patented lightweight (0.5-kg) delivery system to safely lower food to the ground from a 40-m-high drone, minimizing size and weight while maintaining speed and reliability
