Since graduating from the university in 1996, I’ve been working in a large Chinese state-run enterprise for almost twenty years. During that time, from an operator in the productive front-line, I’ve become a senior engineer; From an ordinary industry employee, I’ve become a well-experienced manager with international view. I’m professional in the mining and metal industries, particularly in the bauxite, iron ore and alumina refining areas. Long-term front-line working experience has made me specialized in production and operation management, project management, technology management, overseas mergers and acquisitions and investment management.In my working experience, I’ve participated in the management of a number of greenfield and brownfield projects, new technology development & application project and got lots of awards and honours for the excellent achievements. Coupled with long-standing professional learning and improvement, I have a solid theoretical foundation in the related fields and become one of the youngest Professor of Engineering in 2014.From the October 2012, I’ve been working with Rio Tinto team to develop the Simandou iron ore deposit in the southwest Guinea, West Africa. More than 3 years of overseas experience, not only makes me communicate in English and French skilfully and fluently, but also gives me a profound understanding and awareness about the culture and management system of large international company.
