- Building and managing the multi-function teams (6 managers) of e-Mobility Technology department (System, Software, Electrical, CAE & Simulation, Mechanical, Prototyping & Testing) to develop HEV mechatronic transmission systems:(1) P2 hybrid transmission system (80kW PMSM traction motor + Dry dual-clutch linear motion control system + 400W BLDC motor + Dual mass flying wheel control). (2) Electrical axel system (Planet gearbox switching control system + dual Electric motors + Electric transmission controller).(3) In-wheel driving motor & control system. - Interfacing and cooperating with 5 German departments/BUs for developing global platform products for Chinese & European market.- Responsible for creating department organization and ramping up technical capability of eMobility tech department. - Oversee the engineering process, system design, CAE analysis, functional integration, electrical design, software development, rapid prototyping and testing, as well as project management, product planning, and project delivery.- Responsible for planning and evaluating engineering budget, project cost control, headcount plan, capital resources, tooling & facilities investment according to sales forecast and corporate guidelines.- Oversee the management of project progress throughout the engineering and R&D projects. Organize and lead reviews to ensure projects are delivered on time, as per cost targets and within quality specifications.- Provide technical and strategic guidance to subordinate managers to ensure achievement of goals and objectives. - Work closely with sales department to develop new business in China & Asia market. Build and manage the supplier & customer network.

• Engineering management:[1] Lead the technology & product development of 60-engineer multiple-competency groups (system, control electronic, power electronic, software, motor design, mechanical, thermal management, simulation and test) to develop - Range-extender Electric Vehicle (REEV) drive-chain system (dual-IPM motor propulsion system, 85kW+50kW) for Asian & European market. - Part-time 4-wheel driven Plug-in HEV system (ASM BSG + Rear-axel traction motor+ Inverter system + Gearbox) for German & China market.[2] Oversee the engineering activities in meeting predefined specification, timelines and deliverables of customer projects for passing engineering milestones and meeting customer demand. [3] Responsible for final technical approval, overall technical platform management, R&D road map and driving innovation in R&D teams.[4] Ramping up technical capability of R&D teams and personnel development. Responsible for planning and evaluating R&D budget, headcount and resources.[5] Control EV/HE system architecture design, requirement engineering and integration. • Business:[1] Work closely with sales & finance departments to develop China market.[2] Technical interface to customers. Rich experience for RFQ, technical agreement, business plan. [3] Based on commercial goal and plan, support gross cost control, target manufacturing capability benchmarking and product price referencing.

• Design and develop 3MW converter hardware system (including both Power Electronics and Control Electronics systems) for Vestas latest offshore PMG wind turbine generator V112-3MW.[1] Perform immigration design from partial power converter for DFIG to full power converter for PMG to meet the requirement of offshore application.[2] Key team member to define the power and control system architecture of full power converter (2MW & 3MW) including the modular design of PM generator, converter control strategy, power conversion layout, grid harmonic filter, EMC solution for HV power conversion path, etc.[3] Electronics development of 750kW full power converter module (690VAC-1000VDC-690VAC) from system level to detailed circuit design.[4] Expertise in the offshore & marine electric system design, including function safety, HV protection & safety system, HW & SW redundancy design & easy-maintenance model design especially for high reliability requirements of extreme marine environment. • System architecture building and hardware design of next-generation main operation controller prototype for V164-7MW offshore wind turbine.
