• Perform complex molecular biology techniques (DNA extraction, qPCR, RT-PCR, Next Gen Sequencing) • Prepare human biological material for genetic analysis. This may include blood, body fluids and tissues• Sets up phamarcogenomics testings (PGx), ananlyzes and reviews test data• Sets up, analyzes and reviews urine drug toxicology test data• Approves urine drug toxicology reports• Analyzes test results for acceptability against set controls and enters findings into the computer database• Operate complex equipment to prepare biologic specimens, to calibrate instrumentation, and to validate quality of assay. Perform cleaning, maintenance, alignment procedures, quality assurance assays, and troubleshooting on complex and testing equipment.• Maintain daily/weekly logs and QC documents for assays and equipment• Prepare stock solutions and reagents following standard operating procedures and quality control procedures. Record quality control of reagent preparation. Recognize and resolve problems or report to supervisor/manager.• Performing on all laboratory documentations: - Instrument qualifications - Reagent Lot Qualifications - Instrument maintenance logs - Parallel run documentation - Temperature logs• Perform proficiency testing to maintain compliance with internal and external regulatory agencies.• Help inventory maintenance by monitoring inventory levels of reagents and consumables, providing alerts to inventory coordinator if needed• Develop, training or assist in the development of clinical assays and the validation. • Supervising and training junior laboratory staff• Identifies and elevates Reportable Quality incidents to manager.• Maintain detailed, accurate and up-to-date documentation using our electronic LIMS system.• Preparing documents for CLIA, CAP and New York inspections
