Dr Man obtained his BSc (Hons) degree in Mathematics from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and his MSc (with Distinction) and PhD degrees in Mathematics from the University of London, United Kingdom. He also obtained a PGDE (with Distinction) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is now a Fellow of the Institute of Mathematics and its Application (FIMA), United Kingdom.His publications include books, book chapters, conference proceedings and international refereed journal articles in the areas of Computer Algebra, Geometry, History of Mathematics, Problem Solving, Number Theory, Mathematical Algorithms and Computer Assisted Learning in Mathematics, etc. Together with his team members, Dr Man had received a Certificate of Merit in a QEF Project called "Promoting problem-solving practices among teachers and pupils in primary mathematics" in 2008. He had also received the Sir Robert Black Trust Fund scholarships and the ORS scholarships from Hong Kong and the United Kingdom before.Dr Man had served as the Deputy Head of the Department of Mathematics and Information Technology (MIT) and the Programme Leader of the Master of Arts in Mathematics and Pedagogy Programme (MAMP) for about 10 years.
