I manage and operate a 6-seater home-based private dining business on a part-time basis from Dec 2021 to Apr 2023, and on a full-time basis from May 2023 to the present. Grew the business solely through social media (instagram) and has garnered 1,000 followers with minimal paid advertising. Business revenue when operated on a full-time basis averaged $10,000 per month.

Oversaw the Essential Healthcare Supplies portfolio. This entailed policy work for the resilient supply of essential healthcare goods (e.g. face masks), managing covid-related operations (e.g. national stockpile of masks), industry account management (e.g. for local mask production companies), and audit management (overseeing an external auditor to conduct inventory and records checks on MTI’s stockpile agent).Contributed to the Food Supply portfolio, such as on food source diversification and other policies to improve food supply resilience.

Through my five years in the Food Supply Resilience Division, I was rotated and exposed to all aspects of food supply policy, namely overseas import sources and local production .Overseas import sources: I was part of the policy team enhancing Singapore’s import supply resilience for key food items like eggs, vegetables, and proteins. Major milestones include executing a watershed policy that has reduced Singapore’s dependence on traditional source countries for eggs.Local production: I was part of the team overseeing SFA’s 30 by 30 target. My efforts were into working with critical local farms to improve productivity and land usage.I was also exposed to international relations and bilateral work by being SFA’s person of contact and staffing officer for the APEC Policy Partnership for Food Security (2017 to 2020) and for the Food Security pillar of the Singapore-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (2016 to 2021).

My first posting in AVA was to the land and space planning team. We worked with land-managing agencies like the URA and SLA to plan and reorganise Singapore’s farmland.
