Business transactional attorney, admitted to practice on both California and Texas. 40+ years experience in Silicon Valley (7 more in Texas), working virtually for 20+ years, adept at using AI when appropriate, but have never been asked to take a Turing test. I have two types of clients.I'm outside general counsel to companies too small to bring someone in-house, where I I guiding, cajole, advise, teach, and hand hold privately held businesses. I'm seen as a member of the management team, sort of a Plug & Play General Counsel.Right now I'm focusing more on being a rapid response outside counsel to in-house counsel with complex tech or IP agreement projects. Apparently it's good not to have to train or baby-sit outside counsel. I can parachute in and be up to speed quickly. I am happy to link to those with whom I share a common interest.     Actually started in 1996, but I didn't want this showing up first as this is what I do in my law practice, but different clients have different names for what I do. Like in-house general counsel I am the person to whom all legal issues are brought. I have a wide range of experience and can handle a lot of routine questions. But if I can't handle it, I refer my clients to someone who can.Most of my work is in the area of intellectual property agreements and I can usually be found happily either redlining some bigger company's IP License, NDA, Development Agreement etc.; or drafting those agreements or a SaaS agreement.
