About Yadi Wang, Phd

I have honed many skills and qualities that make me an effective leader: collaborative, innovative, patient, efficient, and committed. With full commitment, I follow 4 principles to take my leadership to the next level. I truly believe it takes understanding and accommodation to build partnerships with groups of experts that will lead to novel approaches in cost and time efficient ways.In my early career, I briefly experienced business operation and management while completing my BA in Finance and Marketing in China. As merging into industry, I realized fundamental knowledge and technical skills are crucial parts of a successful business model. After moving to the U.S., I sought to acquire technical skills during my undergraduate career in Chemical Engineering. My continuous curiosity lead me to pursue a PhD in environmental science with a research focus on modeling the world larges controlled complex Earth system dynamic at the Biosphere 2, where I utilize engineering skills and data science to construct collaborative theoretical frameworks; explore and practice the importance of the above 4 principles; and recognize the importance of mentorship to bring intellectual minds on the team to build success with support from the community.
