WB Projects is a leading interior design and construction contractor in the retail sector. Clients include well known high street brands such as M&S. The high profile work requires professional delivery and project management services of the highest standard to ensure new store front and interior specifications are met to time, quality, budget and safety requirements.My responsibilities:-Client Relationship Management, Programme Management, Design Team Coordination, Management of Contractors, Application of Management Systems, Development of ISO 9001 and 14001 compliant systems, Risk Assessment and Management, Project Team Communications, Budgeting, financial control and procurementMarks and Spencer, Weston – super – Mare 2010From January through to March 2010 I project managed the refurbishment of M&S in Weston – super – Mare. This programme saw the removal of asbestos, internal alteration of the store and refurbishment of mechanical and electrical systems as well as internal finishes, fixtures and fittings. The project value was £2m which was completed over a 9 week programme. The project involved extensive phasing, coordination of over 10 trades and public interaction as all works were completed within in a live trading environment. This project was completed on time and to budget.GIVe Six Store Opening 2009In Autumn 2009, George Davies launched his new national retail venture GIVe, a unique offer of affordable luxury clothing. I project managed the fit out of six of the first eight standalone retail units for this exciting new venture. The scope of the programme consisted of converting five existing retail units and the complete fit out of one brand new shell, in different locations across the UK, to the new GIVe design concept. All six stores were fast track projects and the whole programme which started in September 2009 was completed within four weeks; to schedule, budget and programme, with all six stores launching on the same day.
