As part of the executive team, I manage and lead the school's Marketing & Development department, creating and implementing strategic and creative marketing strategies to advance the institution by intentionally and proactively engaging, informing, and inspiring internal and external audiences.I serve as a senior advisor and operational executive to the Head of School with regard to institutional strategic initiatives toward advancement, engagement, and development as well as crisis management. I oversee marketing of institutional development initiatives, fundraising campaigns, and major events, including the school's annual scholarship campaign, a $5M+ campaign to support tuition assistance. Additionally, I handle all operations and management of the strategic inbound and outbound communications strategy to advance the school’s mission, brand awareness and new student recruitment, partnering cross-functionally across all departments (development, admissions, administration, alumni relations) and overseeing all aspects of design, content development, and production.

As Partner in the rapidly growing Travel and Economic Development practice of Finn Partners, I helped build and run teams that drive our clients’ business objectives at one of the fastest-growing global, independent marketing and communications agencies in the world.In my time at Finn, I launched and marketed a variety of top-tier hospitality brands, implementing communications programs for destinations, transportation companies, hotels and resorts, and economic development entities worldwide. I oversaw the department's new business development as well as project management and administration. A highlight of my time in this position was the opportunity to oversee the department's Executive Trainees and Partner in Training program.My diverse range of travel and economic development clients included Air France-KLM, Hilton Worldwide, Jamaica Tourist Board, EL AL Israel Airlines, Business Traveler and Savvy Traveler magazines, Barbados Tourism Authority, Conrad Chicago, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau, Signature Flight Support, South African Airways, Travel Alberta, and the University of Johannesburg.

In this role, I led account teams responsible for day-to-day public relations activities for clients that have included the Jamaica Tourist Board; VP Records; Travel Alberta; Frank Publishing; Mount Gay Rum; and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.I developed all campaign strategy and oversaw all aspects of communications programs including media relations, consumer and trade promotions, merchandising opportunities, product placement in TV/film, major event coordination, speech writing, collateral development, and crisis communications in order to cultivate positive client presence.With a real nose for news, I really loved to pitch and place positive stories in print/broadcast consumer, trade and business media.In supervising a team, I reviewed and oversaw all press materials prepared by Account Supervisors, Senior Account Executives, Account Executives and Assistant Account Executives.Additionally, I managed account administration duties including billing and financial reporting and identified, pursued and secured new business opportunities.I also oversaw the department intern program and served as mentor for junior staff.
