As a recent MSW graduate from the University of Houston, I have over three years of experience as a victim advocate at Harris County, where I provided supportive services, case management , and crisis intervention to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. I also completed a nine-month clinical social work internship at the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Houston, where I worked with veterans and their families to address their mental health, substance use, and psychosocial needs. I have developed strong skills in motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based practice, and I am passionate about empowering individuals and communities to overcome adversity and thrive. My goal is to pursue a career in clinical social work where I can assist clients struggling to overcome addictive behaviors and mental health conditions.
