Managed a comprehensive portfolio consisting of companies from a wide range of industries in conjunction with a Senior Relationship Manager (SRM)The portfolio composition was mostly of companies in the oil, gas and power sectors along with a textile composite giant and an industrial steel manufacturer.Assisting the SRM essentially involved gradually taking over the tasks of a Relationship Manager. Tasked with preparing comprehensive Credit Proposals along with executing daily transactions i.e. Funded and Non-Funded basic and complex transactions ranging from a simple CF drawdown to ITFC government to government payments.In assisting the SRM I was also tasked with deepening the bank's presence in our portfolio along with successfully pitching cross sell opportunities to our clients ranging from Cash Management and Payroll facilities to ensuring a healthy average deposit year around.

Being an MTO at BAFL allowed the opportunity to be mentored by the senior management during 6 weeks of classroom trainings. Upon conclusion of which was rotated in a flagship branch for 3 weeks where the basics of banking were taught.This was followed by 2 rotations within CIBG.Corporate Business Finance: The 2 month rotation involved making Daily Position Reports of Advances and Deposits, disseminating the same to the Group and Cluster Heads. Tasked with creating an MIS to reflect the top 5 categories of income and expense for each Corporate Branch.Tasked with assisting and replicating a CCC presentation which covered the CIBG position.The rotation revolved around a project; assisting the Business Financial Controller during the Budget Exercise. Tasked with projecting Revenue, Expenses, Fees etc. keeping in mind the Management's vision and expectations.Rotation was concluded with a presentation to the senior management with the Business Financial Controller in attendance. Corporate Banking: 2 month rotation here involved gradually taking over the basic tasks of a Relationship Associate. Commencing from basic documentation lodgements to advices. Assisted the existing Relationship Associates in preparing their Credit Line Proposals by performing financial and industry analyses. Tasked with performing the basic functions of transactions, as a result was allowed to witness first hand the execution of certain transactions; LTFF, FIM etc.Rotation centred around a project; calculating the Bank's earnings off each relationship. Was tasked with calculating the Return on Capital (ROC) for each relationship for the team I was rotating in. Tasked with consolidating the ROCs for the entire Southern region of BAFL and carrying out inferences on how to further better the ROC and maximize the organization revenue.Rotation was concluded with a presentation to the top management with the Corporate Head South in attendance.
