Developed and taught a course on web application development to 3rd & 4th year university students. For the vast majority of students this was their first exposure to the topic.- Lectured weekly on a wide range of topics spanning the field, including HTTP, MySQL, Servers (featuring Node.js), Frontend (featuring HTML, CSS, Javascript), and Git- Hosted remote office hours to work with students individually- Focused strongly on practical skills; grading was largely project-based- At the end of the semester students built and presented their own database-backed web applications, hosted on Heroku

- Re-architected front-end tech stack. Researched, championed, and built reference implementation of the iCIMS core product using React, Redux, and a host of related technologies. Wrote extensive documentation and conducted education sessions to bring developers up to speed.- Lead design on a native iOS application, including prototype design and UX testing. Also built a reference implementation.- Founded a research group within the UI team which focuses on new and emerging technologies. Organized and ran bi-weekly meetings which feature presentations by group members.- UX research for various projects. I designed and built prototypes, wrote tasks, conducted tests, and recorded/compiled results.- Interaction and button design: I re-flowed the information architecture for user actions (on profile pages) within the platform. This, combined with new button designs, led to a measured 80% boost in usability scores in user testing.
