OUR STORYAtelier Armbruster is a New York City based design office focusing on minimal and modern designs that cater to the unique nature of each project.In a city such as New York, environments are constantly changing and evolving. Many of our projects involve partial to full renovations of residential and commercial spaces. While all of our renovations focus on modernizing the spaces, we take care to recognize and incorporate the valuable historical features of the individual projects.Atelier Armbruster was founded in 2010 by Yaiza A. Armbruster after leaving her previous position of six years as a designer at Selldorf Architects. Before that, Yaiza trained as an architect and engineer (Dipl. Ing.) in her native city of Munich, Germany. Yaiza and her team have worked on a range of private and commercial projects in the New York area.Yaiza credits much of her strong understanding of space and attention to detail to her German education, as well as her various fellowships in a number of different countries.At Atelier Armbruster we understand how to navigate the line between hard-edge modernism and warm, serene spaces.
