Working closely w/ youth at JRI Health, Boston GLASS and partnership w/ Bridge Over Troubled Waters shelter by provide housing search/advocacy/homelessness prevention at all 3 sites. In addition, link client to in-house vocational programs that promotes self-sufficiency. Conduct timely intakes and needs assessments for each referred client. Develop Housing Stabilization Plan and Service Plan that addresses Self-Sufficiency. Develop contacts and working relationships with Service Providers, including those that specialize in working with Youth and Homeless population, Housing Authorities, local shelters, landlords, and Vocational referrals. Assist youth in housing search activities including negotiating with landlords, viewing apartments, completing applications for private and subsidize units, linking to roommates and local shelters as needed. Maintain client files in required manner. In addition, input all client dad into City of Boston ETO database. In general, recognize and respect each client's right to privacy and autonomy.

Surviving Our Struggle (S.O.S) is a Boston Gay & Lesbian Adolescents Social Services (G.L.A.S.S) Project at Justice Resource Institude (JRI). We work to provied exploited boys, young men, trans M-F, & trans F-M, with comprenhensive services based on a continuum of care to prevent exploitation. Adolecents boys, young men & trans particularly runaways, throwaways * those abused, neglected, & expose to family violence, are vulnerable to becoming sexually exploited. OUR IMPACT* G.L.A.S.S provides social services to our clients through a survivor mentor. * Two Licensed clinicians are available to address behavioral health needs. * G.L.A.S.S works in collaboration with & provides referrals to comprehensive medical care.* Ongoing comprehensive case management is given for housing stabilization, job searching and GED support.* A harm reduction model is used around counseling & testing for HIV/AIDS, STI and Hep C.* There are peer leaders & support groups available to provide culturally competent support & ease feelings of being alone in one's experiences.
