During my two-year tenure at the University of Tennessee, I worked as an instructor and graduate research assistant. On teaching side, I was a teaching assistant for a Statistics and Probability course during Fall/Spring semesters; I taught the same course full time with my own TA during summer sessions. On research side, I worked as research assistant at the Center for Renewable Carbon at the University of Tennessee. My research interest lies in missing data imputation, data mining, and predictive modeling using parametric methods (e.g., LASSO, Adaptive LASSO, PLSR etc.) and non-parametric methods (e.g., Bayesian Additive Regression Tree). I am especially interested in data mining tecniques for high-dimensional data. After graduation with M.S in Statistics, I am still collaborating with my advisors in the process of publishing several papers on aformentioned topics. I am carrying on my academic interests to my current professional life.

I taught a course of Statistics and Probability to junior and senior engineering students at the University of Tennessee during two summer sessions. I gave lectures, wrote syllabus, assigned homework, and designed exams. During my two-year tenure I also managed and collaborated with my TA. In the same time period, I also leveraged my teaching experience in statistics field to conducted consulting work on statistics textbook revision for John Wiley & Sons Company.
