I’m responsible for the kids’ experiences of searching and watching, the engagement, and the parental control. Another part of my job is connected with multiple user profiles and their personalization.My role involves three focus areas:• Leading the Kids and Family design team to implement user-centered design concepts for the web (mobile and desktop), mobile devices (iOS, Android), TVs (Smart TV, Android TV, Apple TV). My role also implies carrying out design research to uncover insights into the Kids UX (I spoke about that at World Usability Day Russia 2020); • Managing the design department: optimizing the workflows, creating best practices guides, and ensuring a healthy climate. Every few months I organize meetups with guest speakers for our design team to spark inspiration and encourage skills development. I’m coaching design team members on Kids UX, iconography, and typography. I also occasionally substitute for the head of the product design department.• Hiring new designers, onboarding, and mentoring them.
