I am an engineer and I love problem solving. I have been doing research in smart grids for the past six years. During this time, I have worked on identifying and solving several specific problems in areas ranging from physical operation, to user privacy and cyber threats. This provides me the opportunity to understand how information and communications technology interacts with critical physical infrastructure, what the emerging challenges are, and how we can leverage our knowledge to design feasible solutions to reap the benefits.Outside of school and research, I love to volunteer my time and get involved in things I care about, i.e., education and culture. Through volunteering and community engagement, I hope to encourage young generation to explore their interests in STEM, to build support for our female engineers at the tech sector, and to understand and connect with people from different cultural backgrounds.I love to learn new things and to keep stretching myself. I enjoy cross-disciplinary collaborations and working with people who share the same aspirations. I am curious about people and their stories, because I find I can always learn a lot from those amazing people around me.
