Bened Biomedical is a distinguished leader in psychobiotics research and development, with over three decades of experience in both human and pet health sectors. With a portfolio of patented strains, notably the renowned L. plantarum PS128, our branded products have generated success in Taiwan, the US, and across 35 other countries worldwide.Within the Global Operations division, my role encompasses three key areas:1. Taiwan Headquarters:• Streamlined international shipment logistics and optimised customs clearance processes.• Conducted comprehensive reviews and forecasts of raw material demands, leveraging database systems like SAP to enhance production preparedness.2. US Subsidiary (Bened Life):• Established and nurtured relationships with key suppliers and manufacturers through contract negotiation and management.• Implemented proactive strategies to track and manage inventory levels, driving efficiency and cost savings within the supply chain.3. B2B Projects:• Collaborated closely with sales teams to oversee projects from initiation to completion, adhering to timelines and budgets.• Cultivated strong client relationships and facilitated seamless communication across departments, including suppliers, manufacturers, and stakeholders.

Under the Department of Industrial Development, I help facilitate the commercialisation process of precision and regenerative therapeutics, from R&D to IND. In this role, I also serve as a liaison between the government and the research teams.My responsibilities also include: • Conduct research and market analysis on global exosome therapeutics industry and relevant clinical trials and offer consulting advice • Produce detailed systematic review of HTAs on gene therapies approved for use• Engage with key opinion leaders and the biotech media to organise events for media exposure

As part of UniMelb's MBiotech Industry in Biotechnology course (SCIE90015), I served as a student consultant at Commercial Eyes Pty Ltd. I analysed and organised raw data from TGA and PBS databases, covering all pharmaceutical products in the Australian market. By leveraging data insights, I developed a comprehensive guideline for customers, outlining various pathways to successfully register their products.

Leveraging my biotechnology background, I managed all cases related to the field, providing professional translation between Mandarin and English. This included translating published papers, official websites, legal documents, and offering speech coaching services.

As an intern in the Department of Product Development, I collaborated with a team of five to develop new product prototypes using Koji fermentation and the team is still using it as a model to continue developing plant-based food products.

Dr Hung's lab focuses on using a combination of stem cell biology, tissue engineering, and biomaterial development (gold and silve nanoparticles as drug and anticancer agent carriers) for oncological applications. As a research assistant, I performed multiple analytical experiments and presented the findings at the 2020 International Society Cell & Gene Therapy (ISCT) Conference for the positive therapeutic potential of gold nanoparticles as carriers to be used in combination with cancer immunotherapy. Originally worked as an intern from the UNSW Professional Development for International Students program and was taken on board as the administration officer. I have co-hosted networking sessions for students in Diploma courses to connect with student societies on campus, and facilitated and promoted professional and casual events hosted by the Student Life team.

Representing the UNSW School of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences, I promoted brand image with marketing campaigns and facilitated UNSW Open Day events to connect with prospective students and their families. I also supervised 30 high school students for hands-on laboratory experiences and inspired them to pursue a degree in Biological Sciences.
