In charge of maintenance, troubleshooting, and training guest users of several instruments, including XRD, GC, BET surface area analyzer, rheometer, and aerosolization equipment.2. Develope a novel technology that uses the earth-abundant natural clay to support the iron nanoparticles for the in situ remediations of chlorinated compounds in groundwater. Techniques such as GC, TEM, EDX, and turbidimeter are intensively used during this study. 3. Synthesize ultrathin-shelled hollow silica nanoparticles containing active iron species by using an aerosol-assisted process. The synthesized samples are characterized using cut-section SEM/TEM, XRD, BET surface area analysis, and confocal microscopy. 4. Develop a temperature-responsive nanocomposite consisting of highly monodisperse hollow silica particles with ordered mesoporous shells and a complete poly (N-isopropyl acrylamide) (PNIPAM) coating layer. The integrated composite is analyzed using SEM, cryo-TEM, XRD, TGA, FT-IR, and DLS. Pickering emulsions stabilized with such composite particles are characterized by optical microscopy and cryo-SEM.5. Worked with Bausch &Lomb R&D center to study product fatigues and surface-modified the products to improve the performance. Techniques such as AFM, contact angle measurement, surfactant formulation, FT-IR, and tribometry are intensively used.
